The People at La Grange

La Grange is passion and enthusiasm for the good wine. Rolf and Renate Freund bought the vineyard in 2007. They are supported by a young and dynamic team who share the same passion for wine.

Sandrina Hugeux, who graduated from Grandes Ecoles de Commerce (business school) in Paris in 1999 and specialized in Wine Property Management in Narbonne in 2012, is responsible for the sales. Together with her family she lives in Domaine La Grange in a charming old typical house called “Bergerie” which means sheep farm. Originally this was the cradle for the vineyard. Sandrina worked for several years in the wine business in the USA before coming to La Grange in 2009.

Thomas Raynaud is the gifted winemaker at La Grange. He studied enology in Paris and Montpellier. Before he came to La Grange he worked for the Lafage vineyard, which is one of the top quality vineyards of the Languedoc. It was there that he learned how to make great wines and his expertise will greatly help us on our path to becoming one of the best vineyards in the Languedoc.

Francois Sebastian und Pierre Yves Orciere

Pierre Yves Orciere, Francois Sebastian and his son Raphael make sure that the work in the vineyard is carried out with great care and precision.

Pierre Yves grew up at La Grange and knows every plant and every distinctive feature of the vineyard. Francois is our Jack of all trades. The birds envy him for his singing abilities, his colleagues for his craftsmanship. Raphael is the great lover of nature in our team; aside from the vines he especially likes to take care of our little herd of sheep.

Jean Natolie, Gwenael Thomas and their team have been our advisors from the beginning. Without their knowledge and expertise we would not be where we are today. They are continually present at La Grange and make sure that every move is aimed at quality.
